There are more gloomy predictions on housing and unemployment today from the head of Barclays. In an exclusive interview with Sky News, Barclay's chief executive John Varley says the jobless total could go through three million and there will be further big falls in house prices.

An Iraqi reporter who threw his shoes at President Bush during a visit to Iraq has been taken into custody.  See the pictures on the Sky News website.

A major fraud by a Wall Street banker in the US is affecting banks and companies in the UK.  The Royal Bank of Scotland has said it has potential losses of £400 million. And others will be in a similar position.
