Missing Children’s Day
12 December 2008
[tx: Monday 15 December 2008]

After the high profile disappearances of Shannon Matthews and Madeleine McCann, Sky News investigates cases of other missing children throughout the United Kingdom.

Sky News will highlight the plights of families across the UK at this especially difficult time of year, revealing cases of missing youngsters and speaking live to those affected throughout the day. Sky News will also be speaking to charity workers involved in supporting those affected, and those who try to help bring missing people home.

Meanwhile, skynews.com will feature an interactive map detailing cases of missing children across the country, with the hope that fresh leads can be generated by Sky News viewers looking at cases in their area. Sky News will also be speaking to an expert who can project what children might look like as adults, providing much needed hope and help to families who have been searching for missing loved ones for a number of years.
